Best Start Kindergarten Assessment

The Best Start Assessment is a state-wide assessment that helps teachers identify the English literacy and numeracy skills of each student at the beginning of Kindergarten.

The Best Start Assessment is not a test but rather a supportive assessment designed to help teachers gain insights into each child's unique learning needs using engaging activities that allow children to demonstrate their skills in a comfortable and familiar setting.

It is a positive and constructive experience aimed at fostering a love for learning right from the start.

Daisy's First Day

The Department of Education has produced a special picture book for parents and carers to support their child's transition to primary school. Follow Daisy the koala as she embarks on her exciting first day.

Kindergarten Excursion to Calmsley Farm
Each year our Kindergarten students get to go on an exciting excursion to Calmsley Hill Farm by bus. We meet different farm animals and native animals as well as watch sheep shearing and milk a cow!
Hatching Chicks
Each Kindergarten classroom got an incubation kit with eggs. We waited patiently for them to hatch. It was such fun watching the little chicks and learning how to look after them.
