Students at Murray Farm Public School are provided with a myriad of creative opportunities. One such opportunity is the Stage 3 Ukulele Group. Students involved in the Stage 3 Ukulele Group are provided with all the tools required to participate. They are lent a ukulele with a case as well as information about the basics of the ukulele. Throughout the year, students learn how to take care of the instrument, strum, play chords, read chord charts and play the ukulele as part of a group. While students do acquire all of the basic skills and knowledge required for them to continue playing the ukulele when their time as part of the group ends, they are, more importantly, provided with a platform from which to pursue further musical and creative endeavours.
