What are the class contact lists?
Each year the Parents & Citizens creates and maintains a list of parents' contact details. This list is sorted into classes/years and is distributed to the other parents whose children are in the same year. Children in composite classes are on both year's lists.
As children often have friends in the same year but a different class, the Class Contact List enables parents to contact other parents whose children are in the same year.
New parents and parents of Kindergarten children – how to join
The class contact lists are frequently used and most families at school are part of the scheme. If you would like to join, please email your details to nikcook@bigpond.com.
Parents of Year One to Year Six Children – how to join
Previously the Parents & Citizens advised that the information parents provided would be used in subsequent years and the school would advise the Parents & Citizens of the class/year your child/ren is in, unless parents requested in writing to opt out of the scheme.
If you agreed previously to be part of the scheme, the school will advise the Parents & Citizens of your child's class/year and your details will be included in this year's Class Contact List. The contact details you provided last year will be reused this year, unless you need to advise a change of details or request in writing to opt out of the scheme.
Accordingly, the Parents & Citizens would like to reconfirm that parental permission is granted for the school to provide your child/ren's class details to the Parents & Citizens. This information will include:
- the class number/letter
- every child's name.
Parents of Year One to Year Six Children – how to opt out
If you do not want the school to provide your child's class details to the Parents & Citizens, please email nikcook@bigpond.com.
When parents opt out of the class contact scheme, this means that they do want their information shared with other parents and the class contact lists will not include them or be sent to them.
