As part of our Term 4 Science and Geography programs, studentswill be visiting the Kalkari Discovery Centre in Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park to engage in activities related to the topics of The EarthsSurface and Sustainability with a focus on National Parks. Experts from the Gibberagong Environmental Education Centre will be guiding students through bushwalks, discussions and hands-on activities conducted inthe field, allowing students to build a deeper knowledge and understanding of topics explored in class. These include observing the impacts of weathering and erosion, the characteristics of soil, how features in the park have changed, and what sustainable practises can be used to protect thepark.
