We would like to pay our respects and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which Murray Farm Public School resides and also pay respect to Elders both past and present.
The Rainbow Serpent was a huge serpent that created the rivers and valleys as he moved over the land in the creation. When hi curled at night his great weight left a dent in the ground and that's how the waterholes were made. In the creeks you can see the sand banks and the stones and pebbies. Out from the creek is the flood level when it rains a lot and on the outside of that is all the little grooves where the water runs when it rains. The sleeping Rainbow Serpent fave us waterholes to dring from.
