In 2015, Murray Farm Public School introduced the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) program. PBL is a framework for the whole school community to support the wellbeing of every student. Our students are taught the behaviour that is expected of them in all of our school settings.
Our three core behavioural expectations are taught to all students through interactive classroom lessons that have been collaboratively planned by all staff. These expectations are applied across all areas of the school. Our school's expectations are: Respect, Responsibility and Personal best.
The philosophy is that students will gradually learn to regulate their own behaviour by understanding what the expectations are, by the application in different settings in the school and by having clear consequences for not meeting the school's expectations.
