Phase 3: drop-off and pick-up procedures for parents

Phase 3 Procedures: Start Date Monday 25th May, 2020

Entering the School Grounds

  • All communication with the school and teachers needs to be via telephone or email. Please do not enter the school office or administration block. If you have a prearranged meeting then the staff member will meet you outside the office.
  • It is important that students arrive on time. If students are late arriving, they need to walk by themselves to the office to obtain a late note. A staff member from the office will accompany them to class.
  • If students need to leave early, please phone or email the office and class teacher, preferably the day before. We will organise for your child to be waiting at the office at the collection time. Please wait in your car on Tracey Ave outside the office and phone the school to let us know you are here. An office staff member will walk your child to the gate to meet you.

Morning Drop Off

  • Drop your children at any of the 3 school gates. As part of our social distancing measures, we are asking that no parents enter the school grounds.
  • When students enter the school grounds they are to place their bags outside their classrooms unless they are in 2W, 2M, 2TS, 4/3B, 3K and 4L who will place their bags under the library COLA in their designated area.
  • When the bell goes at 8:50, students are to line up outside their classroom. Students in 2W, 2M, 2TS, 4/3B, 3K and 4L wait at their bag locations.

Afternoon Pick Up

There will be a staggered pick up time for students who are being picked up by an adult (walking or car):

  • 2:50pm T- Z and children walking home without a parent, going to an after school care centre or catching a school bus.
  • Parents walking to pick up children are to wait at the Dryden Ave gates: side (hall) or back (tennis court). A teacher will be at each gate.

Car pick up
The largest gate on Tracey Ave is for car pick up only. Students are to wait on the silver seats and in front of the office. Please display an A4 sign on the sun visor of the passenger side of your car with your child/children’s names and classes to speed up this process. See attached document template or this can be written clearly by hand. If your child does not come to the gate when they are called, you will be asked to drive around the block and come back.
Students with Kindy siblings are to meet each other in Alkira Court and then go to the Tracey Ave car pick up area.

Walking Home
Parents are not to enter the school grounds. Please ensure that your child/children know where to meet you. This should be either from the side gate (hall) or back gate (tennis court)in Dryden Ave. A teacher will be at all exit gates to assist with pick up.
Students in Yrs. 1-6: students will walk themselves to meet their parents at either of the Dryden Avenue gates.
